Skistone Vacation Rentals ("we", "us") rents a single condo at Silver Mill in Keystone, Colorado. This policy explains what information we collect when you use skistonevacationrentals.com or book a stay with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Booking details you give us. When you book direct, our booking system collects your name, email, phone number, address, travel dates, and number of guests. Payment card details are entered into, and processed by, the booking system's payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages and sign-ups. If you use the contact form or join our email list, we collect your name, email address, and anything you write to us.
- Usage information. When you browse the site, cookies and similar technologies collect information such as the pages you visit, the dates you check, which booking steps you complete, your device and browser type, your approximate location (from your IP address), and the ad or link that brought you here.
How we use it
- To take and manage your reservation, collect payment, and send check-in details.
- To answer your questions and, if you signed up, send occasional deals and local news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how people use the site and improve it.
- To measure whether our ads lead to bookings, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site.
- To meet legal, tax, and lodging-license requirements, and to protect against fraud.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the rental:
- iGMS, our booking and reservation system, and its payment processor.
- Our local property management company, which handles check-in, guest communication, and on-site support for your stay.
- Web3Forms, which delivers contact-form and email sign-up submissions to us.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for site analytics and ad measurement. See "Advertising and analytics" below.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and secures the site and collects basic performance data.
- Google Fonts (on every page) and Google Maps (embedded on the Contact page), which receive your IP address and browser details when they load.
- Government agencies, when the law requires it (for example, lodging tax reporting).
Advertising and analytics
We use Google Analytics (linked to our Google Ads account), the Meta Pixel, and at times the Google Ads tag. These tools set cookies and collect information about your visit, including the booking steps you complete and the value and dates of a booking. This information is used to measure our ads and to show our ads to past visitors on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. When you book, Meta may receive your email address or phone number in hashed (scrambled) form to match the booking to an ad you saw. We may also send booking confirmations to Google and Meta directly from our servers for the same purpose.
Under some state laws, this may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out:
- Google ads: Google Ad Settings. Google Analytics: the browser opt-out add-on.
- Meta ads: Facebook ad preferences.
- Industry opt-outs: DAA WebChoices and NAI opt-out.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Or email us and we'll exclude your email address from any ad matching.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as tax and lodging laws require (generally up to seven years). We keep email sign-ups until you unsubscribe, and contact messages only as long as we need them to help you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it (unless we must keep it by law), and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and payments are handled by our booking system's payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit access to your information to the people and services that need it.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Reservations must be made by an adult.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
